Tanya Bershadsky is a writer, producer, content creator and digital media veteran. She is a sought-after creator and casting producer in the world of online video. Tanya has more than 18 years of award-winning experience in digital media, film, and TV. She is a writer, producer, relationship builder and new media consultant. Her unique ability to identify and develop talent and blend traditional media with new media has led to consulting and development work with a range of companies including The Daily Show, LA Weekly, Nickelodeon, MTV, Comedy Central and Sony’s Crackle.com. She was instrumental in creating one of the most popular personalities on YouTube with more than 100 million views, and has identified other talent and helped them build their successful careers online. Tanya was most recently tasked with transitioning Larry King from TV to an entirely new audience on the internet for OraTV. Positioning him as a multi-platform icon, she successfully organized cross promotions and calibrations with internet celebrities, producing segments on his new talk show ( Larry King Now) and on various outlets online that showed Mr. King in a new light, and hosted one of the most successful AMA's (ask me anything) on Reddit.com. You can see of her work with Mr. King Here.
In her varied and, oddly, still nascent career, Tanya has appeared on and worked behind the scenes of The Daily Show as Coordinator, Talent Booker, and Audience Wrangler for segment “Project Red Light;”, and produced two years of the star studded Rock N’ Roe benefit show which included Tenacious D., Greg Proops and Laura Kightlinger. She has written, developed, and produced many short films, branded content, and web-series'. You can see some of these here. Her films have screened in festivals internationally (including Just for Laughs), won awards in many others (including World Wide Comedy Festival and LA Comedy Shorts Festival), and won several contests (including a Sony sponsored comedy contest on Crackle.com).
Tanya produced "Road House: The Stage Version of the Cinema Classic that Starred Patrick Swayze, Except This One Stars Taimak from the 80’s Cult Classic ‘The Last Dragon,’ Wearing a Blonde-Mullet Wig," for which she received a contract for an Off-Broadway run after a two-month sold out run Off-Off-Broadway. The show ran for 10 months.
Always on the cutting edge of technology, she’s produced for Nickelodeon Online, Space.com, Medium4.com and Town24.com as well as developing content, coordinating and hosting chats and webcasts for On Ramp/Think New Ideas, Inc. before anyone knew what that meant.
